Leopard coming this October 26!

It has finally arrive, the most anticipated release of Apple's most visually stunning OS to date, the Mac OS X Leopard. After 2 years since the released of the famed, Mac OS X Tiger, Apple has managed to once again up the ante in the OS Wars. I think this year will be a blowout year for all the OSes. Microsoft just launched early this year their 5 years-in-the-making Windows Vista and as Linux OS such as the high-rise Ubuntu began picking up steam in the alternative OS department, Apple certainly doesn't want to be left behind in this year battle of the OS.

Apple boasts around 300 new exciting features in their upcoming Leopard. Ranging from the most obvious revamp of the desktop, to slick applications such as Time Machine and Spaces, to the completely overhauled Finder, great additions such as Quick Look, and to various development tools this will certainly be an anticipated release for the Apple users worldwide.

To all Apple users and would-be switchers, don't forget to line up on the 26th of October at your favorite Apple store. Well I am still hoping I could buy a new Apple laptop with this OS inside by the end of this year.

I wish could also but... that won't happen at all.

I think if i'm going to buy a macbook pro i'll wait til' july to august 2008, if ever I will, since most of the time this where they launch newer models with faster processor and upgraded components..

and man 300+, take note of the plus, new features including time machine and new finder and it is cheaper than vista costing only about 129 USD for single pc licences..

and question now would be software and hardware compatibility like with windows vista.

peace.

Thanks for the visit vamce, I want to buy, the urge is there but the money, bummer. You could buy from longbeard from tipidpc.com, he sells rock bottom prices because he buys directly from hongkong apple store.

visually, yes, quite appealing...

it's a toy! but oh boy, you have to be careful how you play with it, because it will get cranky... and that is a pain in the behind. trust me. working with one.

ciao!

So that means OS X Leopard is currently unstable?

well... it has ticks here and there.
but we are currently working on it... errrh... or rather they (apple) are working on it.

One must remember, when buying Apple products, don't be the pioneer, wait for it to settle down.

well, people got over-excited about it.

anyway... major queue on the lines regarding emerging issues, waaah....

actually if you buy a macbook/Macbook pro and other apple computer you can upgrade your os to leopard for P500 pesos according to Power Mac Center in Trinoma.

If you don't have money to buy an apple there is the "hackintosh" way hehe..

I read also the OSX 10.4.5 cause BSOD and such but for me its normal. Every OS has those problems at the beginning plus it kicks Vista a@@. =P just by the price point palang 8k for the single pc version with everything na not bad unlike with vista you have to spend 20k to get everything..
